Rev. Roberts was called as Senior Pastor on Second Avenue Baptist Church’s 115th Anniversary on February 6, 2022. He served previously as Associate/Family Pastor of First Baptist Church of Eatonton, Georgia (2017 – 2022) and as Student Pastor of Clermont Baptist Church of Clermont, Florida (2014 – 2017). Rev. Roberts graduated from Liberty Theological Seminary (Lynchburg, Virginia) with a Master of Divinity in 2020 and from North Greenville University (Tigersville, SC) with a Bachelor of Arts, Christian Studies, in 2011.
Part of Rev. Roberts’ passion and ministry is serving in the community. In Eatonton, he was the president of the Kiwanis Club as well as a board member for the Christian Learning Center. He volunteered as a premarital counselor as a certified Prepare-Enrich and Symbis facilitator. Rev. Roberts also was a volunteer Chaplain at Putnam General Hospital.
Rev. Roberts was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is married to Sarah and together they have two children (Declan and Adeline). Family is important to him and why he enjoys spending his free time with them. He and Sarah love to travel with their children on new adventures as they create family memories and doing anything outdoors such as hiking and visiting the beach/mountains. His hobbies includes sports and reading books.
