|Dr. Harry Rowland, Interim Pastor|
Dr. Harry Rowland is the Associate Coordinator for Congregations and Leadership at the Global Offices of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in Decatur, GA. He has been with CBF since 2011 with responsibilities including networking internationally to facilitate CBF Field Personnel and church engagement, the development of such initiatives as New Church Starts and the Dawnings Church Renewal and Visioning Resource and Process, supervising the creation of initiatives such as the Young Baptist Ecosystem, Fellowship Southwest, the Latino Network and CBF’s Rural Poverty Initiative, Together for Hope. Moreover, Dr. Rowland represents CBF at such gatherings as The Baptist World Alliance, North American Baptist Fellowship, National Council of Churches, Christian Churches Together, The World Parliament of Religion as well as other national and international Baptist and ecumenical gatherings.
Prior to coming to CBF, Dr. Rowland pastored local congregations for over 20 years. He served churches in Waco, TX, Nashville, TN, Ft. Mitchell, KY with his last pastorate being 12 years at The Baptist Church of Beaufort in Beaufort, SC.
Dr. Rowland is originally from Nashville, TN the eldest of four siblings. He attended Baylor University where he received a BA in Business/Pre-law, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, TX (Master of Divinity) and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry).
Dr. Rowland is married to Denise Tillman Rowland. They have four adult children and two grandchildren.
