Back to School I know it seems far too soon to say, but before you receive the next edition of this newsletter most of our students will be back in class. So, it’s back to school. Here at Second Avenue, when the children go back to school, we get back to work and study with a full slate of activities. Here are some important dates to note:
5:15 pm Family Night Supper 6:00 pm Prayer Time—Fellowship HallPreschool and Children’s Choir 6:15 pm Adult Bible Study—Chapel (Study of Romans begins.) The Foundry—Youth Illuminate—College/Career 6:30 pm Chancel Bell Choir 6:45 pm Children’s Mission Groups 7:00 pm Chancel Choir rehearsal This is a great time to get involved in something new. Maybe you should try a new ministry opportunity by working with a children’s class or activity. Maybe you should use those latent musical abilities in the Chancel Choir or in Handbells. Or maybe it’s just time to give Sunday School a try or join us on Wednesday evenings for Bible study. The start of school is always a time full of new opportunities. I encourage you to consider which one of the many opportunities for study and ministry God is calling you. Blessings, Monty
