Mission Partnerships

Second Avenue partners with other local ministries to be involved in meeting the needs of our community.  Partnership means that we support the ministry financially as well as offer opportunities for church members to be involved by volunteering at the ministry.  Here is a list of our current partners with links to their web sites where appropriate.

Meals and More Ministry

Our Men’s Ministry in cooperation with other community churches works to provide meals for the working poor every Tuesday night.  The ministry is housed at First Christian Church on Second Avenue downtown.  We are responsible for the second Tuesday of the month, nine months of the year.

We also encourage members to use their gifts and abilities in other organizations.  Our members volunteer at local hospitals, with the schools and in various groups from the American Cancer Society to most every civic group in Rome and Floyd County.We invite you to join us in sharing the love of God with our world.
